House Captains
Our House Captains are an invaluable part of our School Community. The House Captains represent our School Houses.
Our House Captains are chosen in a special election at the beginning of the academic year. The candidates prepare speeches and then all the children vote in their House Teams for their Year 6 Captains for the year.

House Captains need to show passion in everything they do. Always confident and an amazing team leader.
What responsibilities do you have as House Captain
You have to look after your team and support them in any way possible.
In what ways will you encourage your team, particularly on Sports Day
I would encourage them by telling them that, even though it would be lovely to claim the Sports Day victory, it is only the taking part that matters.
What are your favourite sports Why
My favourite sport is archery. I know you're possibly thinking that's not a sport! You only shoot trees in the forest but, no, archery is an Olympic sport. I have fortunately won myself a spot in the Junior Sussex Archery Squad.

To be a good role model and to be persuasive to younger children.
What responsibilities do you have as House Captain
To look after others and help them with anything they need help with.
In what ways will you encourage your team throughout the year, particularly on Sports Day
I will push them to their best and persuade them to give it all their best.
What are your favourite sports Why
My personal favourite is definitely football because I am really good at it and I like team games. Football is a team game because you need to pass and help your team mates.

Tidy up the playground, help with any problems.

I will encourage Green Team by saying it doesn't matter if we lose, I will still congratulate you all.
What are your favourite sports Why
Running because it gets to show how fast I am and I can get exercise as well.

A House Captain needs to be kind, friendly and approachable.
What responsibilities do you have as House Captain
A House Captain has the responsibilities of picking up the equipment after break and setting an example to the younger ones.
In what ways will you encourage your team throughout the year, particularly on Sports Day
I will cheer people on and support them. I will be proud of them no matter what the outcome is.
What are your favourite sports Why
My favourite sports are football, kick boxing and rugby. I like them because they train my body to become stronger.

What responsibilities do you have as House Captain
Tidying the playground, leading the team on Sports Day, getting the PE equipment out of the shed.
In what ways will you encourage your team throughout the year, particularly on Sports Day
I would be kind and positive and on Sports Day I would tell them that, even if we don't win, we would be proud of ourselves.
What are your favourite sports Why
Golf because it is a great way of seeing the world and I just, in a way, find it relaxing.

House Captains need to be brave, thoughtful and a role model to the other children in the school.
What responsibilities do you have as House Captain
I need to be the role model and an influence to the school.
In what ways will you encourage your team throughout the year, particularly on Sports Day
I will try to encourage them by showing them that they can improve their own strength.
What are your favourite sports Why
My favourite sport is baseball because it is all about strength. It is the feeling of the bat when it gets hit by the ball and then you just get the strength to whack it with all your might.

A role model, kind, respectful, a listener, hard worker.
What responsibilities do you have as House Captain
Helping younger pupils, collecting up equipment, setting up sports and making sure everybody is happy.
In what ways will you encourage your team throughout the year, particularly on Sports Day
I will be kind and helpful, pushing them to their limits and being there.
What are your favourite sports Why
My favourite sports are tennis and swimming. I enjoy tennis because it's very active and fun. There are rules but you can be yourself. I enjoy swimming so much. I love the water and my favourite stroke is front crawl.

You need positivity and to be a kind person.
What are your favourite sports Why
Football - I have been playing it for almost seven years. It makes me happy and I just play the sport I love.
